Some of our friends have decided to make a roadtrip out of the weekend! If you have the extra days and want to add a breathtaking destination to your journey, consider stopping by Yosemite. The south entrance, located on Wawona Road takes you through Mariposa Grove, home to the giant sequoias. From there, you can wind through Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point, and exit the park to the west at Big Oak Flat before continuing to our venue! While overnight lodging within the park is limited, Mariposa and Groveland both have plenty of accomodations.
Murphys is the last main village that you will pass through before arriving in Bear Valley. This historic and charming destination is suprisingly bustling with cute boutiques, locally-owned restarurants, and a lively wine scene. About 45 minutes from Bear Valley Lodge, it's worth checking out and stopping for a break!
While known mostly for it's snow season, Bear Valley has plenty of activites to enjoy in the spring, as well! At Bear Valley Adventures, you can rent kayaks, canoes, or paddleboards to be enjoyed at the nearby lakes. They also offer bike rentals, disc golf, and tennis if you prefer to stay on land.
You will be in the Sierra Nevada mountains for the weekend! What better way to explore and embrace your surroundings than with a hike? We have compiled a few nearby trails for a variety of experience levels for you to check out.
