Hotel
*NOW FULLY BOOKED* Corte San Mattia has 32 rooms, all available for booking. This is a good place to stay especially if you have children, since this will make it much easier for you to look after your kids during the event. Check-in starts every day at 15:30. So if you are planning to stay here only during the night of the wedding, you won’t be able to get changed on site before the wedding. Best to book here for the night before (30th June) as well. Add the code 'samemily' to the Notes section when you're making a booking for 10% off your booking.

This hotel is a lovely alternative if you haven't found a room at the wedding venue. You'll likely want a car if you are staying here for more than a few nights, but you will be able to enjoy nature and fresher air than in the city centre.

Torricelle is the name of the hills overlooking the centre of Verona. It’s a beautiful green area which always stays a few degrees cooler than the centre of town. Don’t book here unless you have a car or are happy to pay for taxis. If you feel really fancy (and are in desperate need of a pool), this hotel has wonderful rooms and view.
Hotel
Valdonega is a beautiful green neighbourhood just below the hills and a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. This is where the Franzini abode is, so you’d be right in the thick of things! Casale Manzoni is a large property with several apartments and a large communal outside area used for dining (with a view), sunbathing and table football!
Travel Note
Book any AirBnb or hotel you like in Città Antica. You’ll be close to all the sights and are guaranteed to get the real feel for Verona. This is ideal for anyone without a car. Just make sure you book somewhere with air-conditioning or a fan. The wedding venue will be a 10 minute taxi trip away. For easy access to taxis, head to Piazza Bra (the big square where the Arena is).
Travel Note
Lake Garda is roughly an hour from Verona, but lovely. The best towns (according to Emily) on the lake are: - Garda, the closest to Verona of the recommended towns. - Malcesine, further north, but oh so lovely. The water is also cleaner and cooler there, which makes for wonderful swims. Search for any AirBnb or hotel that takes your fancy.
