Robert and Elise celebrated their engagement with The Hefferons and The Weirs here shortly after returning from their trip to the Bahamas. Beautiful rooftop views and everything on the menu is amazing. Reservations required.

This bookstore has a coffee shop and bar within it. For Elise's birthday, Robert started a tradition of taking her to the bookstore and buying her a book as a present. He signs and dates the title page each year and she keeps them together on her bookshelf.
South Mountain Park and Preserve
There are a variety of hikes for all skill levels. Proper footwear and hydration is recommended. Robert and Elise told one another that they loved each other for the first time after hiking here.
North Mountain
A great place to hike for beginner to intermediate hikers. Part of the trail is paved and there is a consistent incline to the top. Proper footwear and hydration is recommended. This was the first hike that Elise went on with Robert and the kids.
Thunderbird Conservation Park
A great place to hike for beginner to intermediate hikers. Beautiful views at the top and the trails are moderately strenuous. Proper footwear and hydration recommended. This was the first hike that Robert took with the kids after moving to Glendale with Elise.
Piestewa Peak
This is a strenuous hike for intermediate to experienced hikers. It is a very popular hike in town and by mid-morning parking can be difficult to find. Proper footwear and hydration is recommended. This is Elise's least favorite hike, but thankfully she made it up the mountain with Robert's encouragement throughout. The views at the top are beautiful.
Camelback Mountain
This is a strenuous hike for intermediate to experienced hikers. It is a very popular hike in town and by mid-morning parking can be difficult to find. Proper footwear and hydration is recommended. The views at the top are beautiful.
Pinnacle Peak Park
A great hike for beginner and intermediate hikers. Beautiful views of North Scottsdale throughout! Recommend proper footwear and hydration. Parking is limited and fills up by mid morning.
