Flight

Getting Here // Llegando

Ecuador has two international airports in Quito (UIO) and Guayaquil (GYE). From either one you can either take a short flight to Cuenca’s domestic airport (CUE) or take a bus or buseta (private van - 3-4 hours from Guayaquil → Cuenca or 8-10 hours from Quito). Flights can be found on Kayak or through other flight search engines. Bus and buseta information can be obtained locally once you arrive. We recommend booking flights as soon as possible - there are some great deals to be found several months in advance of your travel dates! You will need a current passport that is valid for at least 6 months after your travel dates.

House Or Rental

Lodging // Hospedaje

Cuenca is a gorgeous colonial city with a thriving tourism industry, so finding great lodging options is quite easy at any budget. Airbnb is quite common in Cuenca and will probably be your best bet if you are traveling with a group of people or prefer the privacy of your own space and kitchen. Take a look at your options in Cuenca according to your group’s needs to find your place - we recommend staying in or close to the Centro Histórico.
