Matron of Honor
In middle school, Rachel and Allison bonded over a love of terrible movies (not good-bad, just really, really bad) and reality TV. They used to drive around Maryland in Allison's minivan or Rachel's convertible scream-singing Britney Spears at people just to make them smile and dance too. From trips to Dewey beach and College Park to Rachel's beautiful 2018 wedding in Baltimore, they always seem to end up with a funny story in the end. Whether they see each other every day or live on different continents, their friendship has never skipped a beat.
Best Man
Lucas and Dillon go back to the days of Pogs, Viewmasters and when the coolest tandem in T.V was PJ Fresh Phil and Snit on YTV's The Zone! Spitballs and fart noises in the classroom had them laughing on common ground and the sounds of Prodigy and Our Lady Peace in between games of tag, was a staple for the both of them on the playground. Not much has changed since those days. They've experienced alot as close friends and a visit with the both of them would have you lost in gut busting stories and adventerous tales for hours.
Mother of the Bride
Like mother, like daughter- Chris loves to travel just as much as Allison. They've taken some epic trips together like hiking mountains in New Zealand, island hopping in Hawaii, and most recently, rafting the Grand Canyon for 8 days. Her strong, independent spirit has taught both her children to continually try new things. She loves sports (Go CAPS!) and quickly bonded with Dillon over hockey talk, with Allison often stuck in the middle.
Parents of the Groom
The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree here. Although their tastes differ slightly, Rod's love of music, motorcycles and keeping things simple has clearly had a big influence on Dillon. Kathy's strong family morals, genuine consideration for others and love for a consistently well-made bed (literally and figuratively) are some of the most important things that a parent can teach a child.
Father of the Bride
(In Spirit) Allison's late father taught her the importance of patience and an easy-going attitude to life. His adventurous yet mellow lifestyle is a constant inspiration. His recently-published novel, Welcome to Breezewood, captures his love of vocabulary (and crosswords), fiction and small-town American history. We are happy to have his wife Laurie and her daughter Sarah joining us for the wedding celebration.
