As you all know, COVID-19 has created a lot of uncertainty and it's difficult to predict the timeline for when things will go back to "normal". With that in mind, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding celebration in September. Many of our close friends and family would be traveling to attend (many internationally) and we are unsure about the likelihood of vaccines and safe travel by that time, especially when our guests would be booking hotels/flights/etc soon. While we will not be rescheduling the wedding, we hope to plan a future get-together once we can guarantee everyone's comfort and safety. As Dillon simply describes this situation "The wedding is off, but the marriage is great". We can't thank you enough for your patience and support as we tried to plan this wedding. It's been amazing finally being together as a married couple, even during such strange times.
We do not have a registry. As many of you know, we prefer experiences over things. Any monetary gifts can be brought to the wedding or sent to 8410 Lawrence Rd, Saanichton, BC, Canada V8M1S5
To: We will not be providing transportation to the wedding. There are taxi or bus services available in Canmore (no UBER/Lyft). You are welcome to drive (and park overnight) at the reception location. From: A complimentary shuttle will be available from the reception from 10 PM- 2 AM to take you back to your Canmore accommodations safely.
Cocktail attire! This means cocktail dresses and dark slacks but we are in the mountains so we prefer you to be comfortable above anything else.
Your kids are great! But we hope our wedding day can be a well-deserved "night off" from the little ones.
If your website RSVP here says "Plus Guest" then yes. Otherwise, we prefer that it was just you.
We will host an open bar during cocktail hour and toonie bar after that. (For the out of towners, a toonie bar is named after the Canadian $2 coin which means $2 drinks)
