Banff National Park
A world-renowned National Park! We highly encourage those who have not been to Banff to take advantage of the proximity (30 minutes from Canmore) and check out this stunning area. From the mountain town itself, to endless hiking trails and stunning lakes, there is plenty to see for everyone to enjoy. This place is a popular tourist destination and the town can fill up quickly so book accommodation early!
Canmore
Take some time to walk around the beautiful mountain town of Canmore. Downtown has some great bars, restaurants, shops, and galleries. If you want to get outside, there's plenty of hiking in the surrounding mountains and some beautiful golf courses.
Jasper National Park
Another great National Park! We highly recommend the road trip from Banff, through the Canadian Rockies, to Jasper. The first time Dillon took Allison to Jasper, she saw her first moose, elk and grizzly bear! Same as in Banff, accommodations are limited so we recommend booking early (or booking a campsite along the way (on the Icefields Parkway).
Icefields Parkway
The most scenic drive in the Candian Rockies! This drive takes you from Banff, through the mountains and up to Jasper. Make plenty of time to stop along the way for side hikes, glacial lakes, and the Columbia Icefields.
Calgary
Home to the Calgary Stampede, this is the closest city (and major airport) to Canmore. Check out shops, restaurants, museums and get a birds-eye view from the Calgary tower!
