A transportation option will not be offered. This is rural Montana. There may be some Uber/Lyft options, but the stock is quite limited. Most hotel stays are nearly 20 minutes from the venue. The bride and groom recommend renting a car and designating a DD for after the reception. There will be parking at the venue for guests to utilize.
The Groom and Bride are planning a Pre-Wedding party to welcome arriving guests the evening before the wedding, Friday, June 10, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at a local brewery and taproom in Livingston, Montana. If you are interested and able to make this event, please reach out to the Bride.
No. The couple has hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture the wedding. The ceremony will be completely unplugged and cell phone free. The couple is of the opinion that ceremonies in general are more meaningful when everyone is mentally present and not viewing the event through a lens. Please respect the bride and groom's wish and keep your cell phones, tablets, cameras, etc. stowed away during the ceremony portion of the wedding. Also, try to be mindful not to get in the way of the professional hired to capture the event. Feel fee to relax the cell phone/photography restrictions during the cocktail hour and reception and snap some pictures with friends, family, and the couple. However, please be mindful this is Aaron and Destinee's day and they would prefer to be the first to announce/"post" pictures of themselves as Mr. and Mrs. Valeska on social media and other digital platforms.
This event is semi-formal. Cocktail dresses, tea length dresses, or full gowns are appropriate. The weather can vary from 60 to 80 degrees or more (plus this is the West so its a dry heat). We hope to see men (or women) in bolo ties. Cowboy hats and boots are welcome. Please, however, refrain from wearing white or black!
Yes, there will be assigned seating in the dining room--. The food will be provide by plate service that corresponds to your assigned seat. Please do not move seats as the catering staff have been provided a diagram of persons' meal choices and corresponding seating arrangements in order to serve the food to the right person. After dinner service is complete, feel free to shuffle around in seats should you wish to mingle elsewhere.
For their honeymoon, Aaron and Destinee are staying at a remote off-the-grid lake cabin on Shuswap Lake in Albas, British Columbia in Canada. The closest town is more than 20 km away. Aaron has made a specific request that they go paragliding in the Canadian Rockies/Glacier Mountain Range. The most reasonable way to get to Revelstroke to do this is via water plane. Aaron and Destinee value adventure more than material possessions--please consider your honeymoon fund gift as directly contributing to making this dream a reality.
Do you think we would make everyone travel across the country and not provide them a couple drinks? Alright, not to answer a question with a question, yes the bride and groom will be providing alcohol. The champagne will be provided at the ceremony, 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., and an open bar will be provided between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Select beers, wines, and well liquors will be provided to the guest gratuitous. Should you wish to order a premium liquor, you may do so on your own tab. After 6:00 p.m., the bar turns into a ""cash" bar that accepts cash or all other major debit/credit cards.
Please RSVP by April 15, 2022.
Aaron and Destinee are planning to serve authentic local gourmet fare. This will include an option for vegetarians and vegans. If you have a dietary or food restriction, please let the couple know.
Because the Ceremony is outdoors, the wedding size is medium, and the Restored Barn will have its bay doors open during the reception, the bride and groom have opt-ed to not implement Covid protocols. The bride and groom themselves have been fully vaccinated and boosted. Whatever precautions that each guest are comfortable with taking, whether it be social distancing, wearing a mask, testing before the wedding, or getting vaccinated, will ultimately be the decision of each guest.
The Bride and Groom have opted for a mix of music featuring both a Band and DJ. The Band will be playing at the Ceremony, during the Cocktail hour, and through the end of Dinner. The Band focuses on Americana, but also plays some country and bluegrass. Please check out the lead Guitarist's/Vocalist's webpage here: https://taylorburlage.com/. A DJ will be relieving the Band after dinner to play more new age tunes and dancing music.
