Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL)

The Dallas Metroplex has two major airports, DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field. Dallas Love Field is definitely the best choice for a short car ride (10-15 mins) to any of the hotels suggested on this page. Love Field is the headquarters for Southwest Airlines and also hosts Delta and Alaska airlines. #FunFact - Dallas Love Field was commissioned on October 19, 1917, as a training base for the U.S. Army Air Service during World War I.

DFW is the main airport for the area and is about 25 minutes from Dallas (depending on the time of day traffic). DFW is the headquarters for American Airlines and hosts many other flight options. DFW is an international airport, so expect all that comes with an international airport including possible extended wait times. It's big, has lots of shops, and places to eat. #FunFact - The entire DFW airport takes up real estate equal to the entire island of Manhattan.
