Amy and Lauren met in early February 2020 while serving on the experience team at Passion City Church DC. They walked around the national mall later that day (almost 6 miles!) and have been close since! Her steadfast faith is so beautiful to watch and the amount of love she pours into those around her never ceases to amaze Lauren.

Best Man
Walker and Denton met in middle school. They bonded over basketball, music, having the worst haircuts you could imagine, and being unbelievably awkward. As they got older they became better and better friends and traveled across the country to run Spartan Races together. They're both still unbelievably awkward.
Elian Zarour

Elian and Lauren first met in 2020 through their church organized Fight Club (now called Family Group). That group has changed quite a bit since it started, but they have been through it all! Lauren's favorite feisty friend who she knows will tell it straight but only with love. To have Elian by her side and pray over this marriage is such a blessing.
Kenny Moss

Kenny and Denton met in high school by throwing rice at each other in the cafeteria. Denton was incredibly impressed by Kenny's skill at playing Call of Duty and the Youtube videos he made about it. Kenny was incredibly impressed by the useless sports trivia that Denton knew. They were borderline inseparable in high school and have been friends ever since.

Ashely and Lauren also met through Fight Club in early 2022. She is truly a joy to be around and a light for the kingdom. They've been through a lot but she has never failed to be one of the kindest and funniest people Lauren knows! She also has the info about the best ice cream places in town.
Matt McKinnon

Denton and Matt met in 5th grade basketball. Both guys had awful haircuts, Matt looked like a mop and Denton had blonde hair thanks to boxed hair dye - very punk rock. They became fast friends in middle and high school and ran track & field together and have been friends ever since.

To know Cate is to love her. Truly one of the sweetest, kindest, most patient, and funniest people Lauren knows! Lauren first met Cate in 2021 when they served together at church, but their friendship has deepened over the past 1.5 years through their regular walks (featuring Coal) and shared love of country music. Her friendship is such a blessing!

Christian and Denton met at Liberty. The two became quick friends and spent loads of time rolling around Lynchburg and violating Liberty's curfew to go to Sheetz. Most of those late night runs were spent debating music and sports and discussing insane life goals the two had. One of which was to be groomsmen for each other. ✅
Stephanie Feldblum

Stephanie is one of Lauren's longest friendships! They first met in college in 2012 and roomed together in 2013. She has been there for Lauren through so many life changes, big and small. She is also a big factor in Lauren's current faith journey. God has used her friendship in so many beautiful ways. Stephanie is a true example of what it means to walk by faith and not by sight! Also genuinely one of the funniest people you will ever meet and not to be trusted with dirty bowls for cereal.

Austin and Denton met at Liberty. They became friends when Austin moved on Denton's floor his junior year. They two really became close post college when Austin stayed in Lynchburg over the summer while Denton was living there post college. The two wondered around downtown Lynchburg, smoked cigars, played cards and have become great friends journeying through adulthood together!
Emilyn Tuomala

Emilyn and Lauren met in 2021 while serving together at church. Ever since then, they have grown closer through many life events - including Emilyn’s beautiful wedding in 2024. She is so kind, funny, and intelligent! No matter the circumstances, she always is one of Lauren's biggest cheerleaders. Also a resource on nuclear missiles.
Connor Day
Groomsman
Connor and Denton met in late July of 1996 when Denton's parents brought Connor home from the hospital then told Denton he had to share everything for the next 18 years. The two played all of the sports imaginable and even attempted to convince their parents to get a trampoline so they could wrestle - they said "no." Denton is super proud of the man Connor has become and is excited to have him by his side.
