The Best Day

The beautiful couple met on Hinge in August of 2021 and had their first date Labor Day weekend! Lauren was drawn to his profile because of his famous “romp-him”. Denton's attention was caught by Lauren’s beauty and funny prompt responses - Everyone can agree she’s hilarious. The two hit it off immediately and knew pretty early on that they really liked each other. Shortly thereafter they continued going on dates until Denton invited Lauren to his friend (and groomsmen) Matt’s wedding. With a whopping 26 hours notice Lauren's stress was through the roof preparing to attend the wedding and make a good impression on a few of Denton's close friends. The evening went great and shortly thereafter Denton asked Lauren to be his girlfriend. The next few years were filled with laughter, love, adventures, lots of prayers, and family vacations. In 2023 Denton traveled to Lauren's home in Ohio to spend Christmas with her family where he, very sneakily, asked for her family for their blessing to ask for her hand in marriage. Three months later, after two and a half years of dating, Denton created an elaborate plot with the help of Lauren's close friends to draw her out to a beautiful pier in Old Town Alexandria. By the grace of God the pier - one of the most heavily foot trafficked areas in Old Town - was empty, leaving just the two of them there. With a bouquet of white roses in one hand and a beautiful diamond ring in the other, Denton asked Lauren to marry him. Lauren, obviously, said "Yes!" Lauren and Denton have become best friends and each other's rock through the hard times and the good. They're so excited to take each other's hand in marriage in front of all of their favorite people!
