The ceremony, cocktails, and reception will take place outdoors with the exception of later in the night when we move indoors to reduce the music heard outside. Be prepared for a hot sunny day, not all of the outdoor areas are shaded so sunscreen and water will be essential. Don't worry if you forget to bring sunscreen, we'll have extra on hand.
If you're planning to stay in (or around) Kelowna and would like to explore the area, maybe do some water activities or hikes, etc, here's what we'd recommend bringing with you: - Bathing suit - Sunscreen, sun hat, umbrella for shade, sun-protective clothing, etc. It is very sunny and hottttt in the summer so please ensure you are prepared for the sun. Being in a valley, the temperature does drop considerably at night, so be prepared for that as well. - Water shoes (some beaches near Kelowna are sandy but some are more on the rocky side) - travel mug (in case you'd like to enjoy a non-virgin beverage on the beach;) - dry bag (to keep your belongings dry if you go out on the lake for any water activities i.e. paddle boarding, kayaking, etc) - beach towel (if your hotel doesn't offer beach towels, they will come in handy to sit on at the beach, and to dry off after swimming of course)
