Alec and I go on date nights here often! We ALWAYS eat at Cadillac Pizza and get dessert at Cocktail Creamery. Cadillac is always packed, so park downtown, put your name in, then walk around as you wait. There's plenty to see, eat, and do there! Some other suggestions of places we like: -Local Yocal -The Yard -Rick's Chophouse -Cocktail Creamery for boozy ice cream -Antique Company Mall to thrift.
The Farmer's Market is in downtown at Chestnut Square. Open every Saturday 8am-12pm!
Make your trip to North Texas a 2-for-1! Go tour the Stockyards before or after the wedding weekend. Please ask Ashley for any recommendations! Fun Facts: *Alec and I met in Fort Worth Stockyards *It's "where the West began." Some highlights are the John Wayne Museum, Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, cattle drives, and more. *Food! H3, Riscky's, and Cattlemen's steakhouse are all delicious. Go to Joe T. Garcia's (Warning: the margaritas are strong, just ask us how we know). Any restaurant by Chef Tim Love (Love Shack, Tannahill Tavern, White Elephant Saloon, Atico, etc.). Second Rodeo Brewing is a MUST. *Pack your cooler of adult beverages. You can drink and walk around the Stockyards! You can buy drinks anywhere on the stockyard, but I prefer packing my own cooler and making rounds. *Staying overnight? I always opt for AirBnB's as there are plenty around the stockyards. Hotel Drover is a luxury western stay if you want to spend a little extra. :)
Go to the exact spot where Alec and I met and had our very first dance on July 10th, 2021. Mike Ryan was playing that night. Check the website as there are always concerts and events happening. Like history? Check out this link. https://billybobstexas.com/about
For our golf enthusiasts! We are conveniently located rather close to the PGA headquarters in Frisco. Book a tee time, practice in their hitting bays, or walk around the grounds. There are a few places to eat there, but we enjoy the Ice House the most.
