Kawartha Dairy
We promise this will be some of the best ice cream you’ve ever tasted. The main dairy barn is in Bobcaygeon, but they also have a location in Lindsay if you are staying there. Salted caramel truffle and creamy orange are Mariah’s favourites. Anthony likes them all.
The Lindsay Fair (Sept 18-26)
The annual Lindsay fair happens to be during the week of our wedding! There are endless things to do- look at the exhibits of agriculture, crafts, etc, go to the Midway, or attend the events such as the derby, horse-pulls, and concerts.
Shopping in Downtown Bobcaygeon
There are so many gems in downtown Bobcaygeon. Everyone is familiar with the infamous shoe store, Bigleys. There are many other little local shops, including Thomson’s Lady’s Wear owned by Mariah’s Aunt Nancy.
Kawartha Settlers' Village
Settlers village is a classic destination to learn more about the culture and history of the Kawartha's.
Surronding Parks
Our favourite park is the small beach park down the road from Mariah's parents on County Rd 24, where you can catch the most stunning sunsets. Ken Reid park in Lindsay is very popular. And Emily Park has a great trail that you can access for free from Peace Road.
Lindsay Twin Drive-In Theatre
A great spot to watch movies. Especially if you own a pick-up truck.
