We met on Western University's campus for a meeting about a petition for London's Latin Mass Apostolate. Credit to mutual friend and now groomsman Andrew Roelands for inviting us both there. We wouldn't see each other again for another six months, after the summer break. Ironically, this was after a Latin Mass. We became friends over the fall through school clubs and Mass on Sundays. Anthony decided to wait until exam season (December) to ask Mariah on a date one night after giving her a ride home from a school club meeting after she "missed" her bus. We went on our first date on December 6th, and rushed to go on two more before Mariah went home for Christmas. When Mariah returned to school in January, we picked up things where we left them. As the lockdowns began, it became an odd year to date with no dates to go on and few opportunities to get to know all of each other's family and friends. Nonetheless, we were able to get to know each other well over many neighbourhood and beach walks, at-home dinner dates, spending time with Anthony's family in London, and trips to the nearest SSPX chapel. Eventually, we were able to make more trips to the provincial hub of Dunsford to visit Mariah's family. The height of our summer excitement was the 150km walking pilgrimage we did together, led by Father Eric Mason, the celebrant of our Nuptial Mass. And by the end of the summer, we had both finished our Undergraduate Degrees at Western University. On October 25th, Anthony proposed to Mariah at Our Lady of Lourdes grotto by Western's campus. We were officially betrothed in the Church by Father John Johnson at London's Latin Mass parish in St. Thomas, Ontario on November 22nd, where our parents met for the first time. Since then, we have been preparing for our union in marriage, and for our wedding day. We hope to be able to see all of you this September!
