Echota Resort

Stay at Echota (The Townley family has a condo here). There will be a shuttle to transport you to the Welcome Party and the Wedding. This is a great option if you are planning to stay the whole weekend as there is a 2-night minimum. This is also a great place if you are traveling with multiple people and want to share a bigger accommodation. There is everything from one-bedroom apartments to larger homes. The Best Western in Banner Elk is a fantastic place to stay if you are planning on only attending the wedding or if you are traveling with a smaller party and want to be closer to the venue. There will be transportation provided for the Welcome Party and the Wedding! Travel Note

Transportation to the Wedding and Welcome Party

FRIDAY FRIDAY There will be a bus running from Echota on a continuous loop from 6:45-10:30pm. Everyone at Echota will meet at one of the bus stops throughout the complex marked with signs and balloons. Please note it is a 10 minute drive to the winery from Echota and a 20 minute to the winery from the Best Western. There will be plenty of parking if you wish to drive. *Best Western - be ready for pick up at 6:05 Pickup in front of the hotel *Lower Echota - be ready for pick up at 6:20 pickup at your bus stop SATURDAY Arrive at your closest bus stop (either in Echota or out front of the Best Western) no later than 3:45pm. Buses will make their way around Echota and leave when filled. If you are late you will have to drive yourself to The White Crow. Please note there are no reliable ride share services in the high country. The return trip will be at 10:30pm. Buses will be onsite if any early departure is needed. The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm. If you are driving please arrive no later than 4:30pm. Please note The White Crow is a 30 minute drive from Echota with steep, winding roads. The drive from the Best Western to The White Crow is 20 minutes also with steep, winding roads. Please have a designated driver if you opt to drive. We want you to have fun and be safe!
