Hike Rough Ridge
Take a ride out to the parkway and take your iconic rough ridge photo! This is a short hike with incredible views. This is the most popular hike in the area so there may be a few people around but it is well worth it.
Shop on King Street
Take a stroll down Boone's King Street. Shop for a new dress at Boone Bells, stop into Macado's for a famous cinnamon roll or have a fancy cocktail at the Horton rooftop bar. This is Boone's "downtown" area and is right next to Appalachian State. To our App State Alum- we recommend walking through West Side of campus, wow it has changed!
Have an Afternoon Beer at AMB or Booneshine
Answer the age-old question "are you an AMB or Booneshine person?" Try both! Liam and Corinne's favorites are the Long Leaf IPA and the Mystic Dragon Cider at AMB. Both have excellent food! AMB has a pizza truck and Booneshine has a full delicious menu.
Play a Round of Golf at Sugar Mountain
The cutest golf course in all of the high country! Spoil a nice walk through the scenery of sugar mountain by playing 18 holes.
Have Brunch at Sunrise Grill
Liam and Corinne's go to breakfast/brunch spot. They have great breakfast specials such as the 'sunrise standard' and the 'crunch and munch'. ALWAYS ask for the homemade bread and play a round of mini golf. Our course record is one over par... can you beat it?
