Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside (Boone weather permitting) and the reception will take place inside the White Crow. You will have the option to pop outside anytime to like to snap photos, roast a marshmallow, and admire the stars. Boone can get chilly in the evening and be windy so please dress accordingly. We want you to be comfortable!

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will be provided for both the Welcome Party and the Wedding if you are staying at Echota or the Best Western in Banner Elk. If you select an accommodation anywhere else you will be responsible for your own transportation.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

Great Question! We will serve Friday Night Pizza and wine/beer at the welcome party. On Wedding day, we will have a variety of passed appetizers and several stations that will include brisket, mac and cheese, a salad bar, roasted veggies, chicken and a vegan pasta. If you have a dietary restriction, we have thought of you!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

Please refrain from using your cell phone during the ceremony. We promise we will share out wonderful photographers' (Bethany Barton) photos with you. We wish for you to be present in the moment and don't want to give Bethany the extra work of deleting all of your cell phones from the picutres. We promise the ceremony will be short and sweet so you can go back to taking beautiful photos of the mountains right afterwards.
