Definitely spend some time exploring Traverse City. There are a few breweries and distilleries as well. Our favorite places include 7 Monks Taproom, Low Bar and The Little Fleet.

Lake Michigan

Drive through this National Park where you can visit massive sand dunes formed by glacial sand deposits.
Old Mission Peninsula
MI 49686
Being on the 45th parallel (the same as many famous French wineries) and ideal sandy soul, Traverse City is home to many wineries. Our favorites are Chateau Chanel, Brys Estate, Bowers Harbor and Peninsula Cellars.
Fish Town
Leland, MI 49654
Fishtown is a collection of old fishing shanties located right on the harbor in Leland. They are now mostly shops and restaurants.
The Village at Grand Traverse Commons
830 Cottageview Drive, Traverse City, MI 49684, (231) 941-1900
This is an old state psychiatric hospital turned into shops, restaurants and apartments. Its super creepy and awesome! Fun fact: I found one of my favorite wedding dresses at a shop here.
