Burren National Park

Corofin, Co. Clare, Ireland

The Burren National Park, covering 1,800 hectares in the southeastern corner of the Burren in County Clare, draws its name from the Irish boíreann, or rocky place. But the Burren has been referred to as fertile rock, internationally famous for its landscape and unique flora.

Aran Islands

Wild Atlantic Way

Co. Clare, Ireland

The Wild Atlantic Way is 2,500km of scenic coastline with white sands, towering sea cliffs and unique local culture. There are 180 Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Points, capturing the most spectacular views and unique parts of history along the route. If you don't have time to cover the entire route, County Clare’s Wild Atlantic Way route takes you along part of the amazing coastline and hits 17 special Discovery Points along the way.

Burren Distillers

Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare, Ireland

This is the closest distillery to Vaughan's Pub. They are not quite set up for scheduled tours yet, but if you reach out to them it looks like you might be able to arrange a tour and maybe a tasting.

Micil Distillery

Galway, Co. Galway, Ireland

For six generations and over 170 years, Micil Distillery has preserved the craft, distilling extraordinary spirits made using family recipes, craft knowledge and time-honored techniques. The distillery is open seven days a week for pre-booked tours, tastings and distillery experiences, offering fully guided, up-close and personal insights into the world of Micil.

The Burren Perfumery

Carran, Co. Clare, Ireland

The Burren Perfumery is a small company making cosmetics and perfumes inspired by the surrounding landscape. Everything is made on site, by hand, in small batches. There may not be tours of the facility in March, but the shop is open 7 days a week, Monday through to Sunday from 10am to 5pm each day. They also have Tearooms that are open 7 days a week from St. Patrick's Day through to the end of October.

Bunratty Castle & Folk Park

Bunratty, Co. Clare, Ireland

Bunratty Castle is the most complete and authentic castle in Ireland. The site on where the castle stands was in origin a Viking trading camp in 970. The present structure is the last of four castles to be built on the site. Take a tour of this iconic fortress; hear and see how the lords and ladies of this castle lived; hear stories of battles and bravery and enjoy stunning views across the idyllic Clare countryside.
