How do I book a room right at the YMCA?

Answer

See the Travel Page for details! Please note, we do not have any room blocks. We recommend staying at the YMCA or the Quality Inn. There are several hotels to choose from in Estes Park though!

What will the weather be like?

Avg daily high = 75F Avg daily low = 40F Summer afternoon showers are very common in the mountains. Our ceremony is outside. We recommend bringing an umbrella or rain jacket! We also recommend a light cover up for the evenings as it can get fairly cold up in the mountains at night.

What elevation will the wedding be at?

Answer

The Mountainside Lodge is at about 8,750 ft. This is significantly higher than Wisconsin. If you are concerned about the altitude, please talk with your doctor. In general, make sure to drink lots of water, get plenty of rest, and be safe with your caffeine and alcohol consumption. Also, don't overexert yourself and allow your body time to acclimate as much as possible.

Will there be any cell phone reception at the YMCA?

Answer

Cell phone reception at the YMCA can be very spotty. We recommend downloading any wedding details you may need to reference ahead of time. If you do forget though, the YMCA does have WIFI in most main buildings in case you need to check any last minute details!

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes! There should be plenty of parking around the Mountainside Lodge complex. If for some reason you can't find a spot, we'd recommend parking outside of the Administrative Building and carpool with a friend or group up to the Lodge.

How far apart are the different wedding event locations?

All wedding event locations are within walking distance of each other once you get to the Mountainside Lodge complex.
