Dan
Best Man for Christopher
Christopher met Dan in freshman year of college while playing Smash Bros in Jonas' dorm. They spent so much time together that people thought they were dating - wrong kind of smash bros! Since then, the two remain in frequent contact with occasional trips both domestic and abroad, including ski trips where Dan tries to get Christopher killed. As a fun fact, Christopher was Dan's wedding officiant.
Davis
Best Man for Yu-Hao
YuHao met Davis early in their work lives, onboarding at the same time and surviving not-so-work-life-balanced days. They grew closer playing badminton, which they still play together. If Davis ever opens a bakery, YuHao is first in line. Davis loves Chinese puns and dad jokes, always cracking others up. Combining humor with a warm and cute personality, it’s no surprise he's YuHao's best friend.
Annie
Matron of Honor | Sister of the Groom
Annie is Christopher's little sister - the youngest of 10. If you think Christopher is loud, you haven't met Annie. She's twice as loud but twice as thoughtful. She finds reasons to bring friends and family together and was one of the first to break open YuHao's quiet shell (with an unexpected lap dance).
Melissa
Matron of Honor | Sister of the Groom
Melissa is Christopher's only older sister. The two share numerous hobbies including their love for exploring the outdoors, playing video games and D&D, drinking wine, and, most importantly, yapping. Melissa was the first person - friend or family - to meet YuHao and helped him feel welcome from day one.
Michael
Groomsman
Christopher was initially intimidated by Michael - a quiet, stern competitor on the high school tennis courts. But when Michael spoke up for the LGBT community during a leadership discussion, Christopher saw a new best friend. The two spent nearly every day together during the summer of 2011 and later lived together for nearly 4 years at the peak of Covid-19.
Omar
Groomsman
Christopher knew of Omar in high school but never got to know him until they moved in with Michael. Strangers at first, they became close quickly, especially during Covid-19, which they helped each other survive. To this day, they spend at least one day together every week sipping champagne with their dawg Lisa - a tradition that can't be broken.
Iris
Groomswoman
Iris was Christopher's ride or die in college. They spent every day together - going out, studying, or watching movies on Iris' laptop (while Christopher slept). People with absolutely no gaydar thought the two were dating. Iris has a shameful collection of photos and videos that document Christopher's college life.
Gilnou
Groomswoman
Christopher met Gilnou in pharmacy school, greeting her with a loud "Yoohoo" - the start of an era. They survived frequent late-night (and all-night) study sessions, and they relied on each other through pharmacy school, residency prep, and Covid-19. She’s one of few at the wedding who loves a cold drink more than Christopher.
Jonas
Groomsman
Jonas was one of Christopher's first friends at WashU. While Christopher appreciates Jonas as the first straight guy to outwardly accept him directly, the two started as Smash Bros (...), and continue their gaming journeys to this day. Additionally, Jonas helped jumpstart Christopher's fitness journey (you'll see why).
Mark
Groomsman
Mark was Christopher's bestie during PGY-1 at Mayo Clinic. Mark may be the loudest person ever in terms of sheer baseline volume - a possible contributor to their friendship - but the two bonded over their mutual love for gaming, cooking, eating, and yapping, which helped get them through tough Rochester days.
Annice
Officiant
Annice is one of Christopher and YuHao's favorite people. Christopher met her in San Francisco through his best friend Dan (her now-husband). They shared an unforgettable first two days as friends (ask for the story). Christopher was honored to officiate her wedding, and asking her to return the favor was an easy choice for both him and YuHao.
