Zach and Chiana first crossed paths back in 2009 in their high school orchestra class. They spent three years sharing the same music stands and mutual friends—until Zach decided to let Chiana fully embrace the title of “Orch Dork” on her own. Although they floated in the same circles, they remained friendly acquaintances who never quite found the right moment to connect. Fast forward a few years: both had graduated from college and returned home to Denver for Thanksgiving. A mutual friend, Matt, invited them out for a night downtown—and to everyone’s surprise (including their own), sparks flew almost immediately. It was 2020, and with the world on pause, Zach was spending more time in Denver. The timing couldn’t have been better. They began dating soon after, and in 2022 they moved into their cozy home near downtown Denver. Together, they’ve built a life filled with travel, great food, concerts, and adventures with their beloved dog, Nora. In 2025, Zach knew it was time to make it official. Even though Chiana had a faint suspicion a proposal might be coming, Zach still managed to pull off a complete surprise: a sunset proposal on the beach, surrounded by twelve of their closest friends who flew to Southern California to celebrate the moment with them.
