Meet the gang!

Nicole Escobar

Matron of Honor

Nicole and Cherylene met testing to enter kindergarten and they have been best friends ever since! They did everything together. Cherylene owes her love for pickles and mint chocolate chip ice cream to Nicole. They were classmates until they graduated from high school. Nicole went to U of A, while Cherylene stayed in Phoenix to go to ASU, but are still really close. Nicole has one of the hardest jobs, a kindergarten teacher, but still does an amazing job while being mom to her little nugget, Mateo.

Jinkyu Kim

Best Man

Jinkyu and Justin met during freshman year at Arcadia High School. Along with John, the three boys called themselves J^3 ("J-cubed"). During junior and senior year, they had an ongoing prank war with a few other students-Amy, Kelly, and Karen aka AK^2. Many nights were spent pranking and playing poker. They continued their friendship at the best Arizona college, ASU. Many weekends were spent playing more cards. After college, they both stayed in Phoenix and (pre-covid) would attend a monthly Bro Brunch, where their friends dress in Hawaiian shirts and go to different restaurants around town to catch up. Jinkyu has the best selection of Hawaiian shirts.

Aishah Najam

Maid of Honor

Aishah and Cherylene met during medical school in Denver, but coincidentally found out they are both from Glendale, Arizona. They, along with Janice explored all over Colorado together when they didn't have to study for tests and would travel back home together for the holidays. Aishah had Cherylene watching scary movies and eating sushi and fried zucchini a lot more than usual, but she wouldn't have survived medical school without her.

John Webster

Best Man

John and Justin met during freshman year at Arcadia High School. John also attended the best Arizona college and stayed in Phoenix after graduating. John and Justin would frequent the nearby bars in their neighborhood and then grab some late night food at the drive through. John joins the monthly Bro Brunch and shares many fun stories. He also makes a pretty good Old Fashioned.

Frances Rosales

Bridesmaid

Frances is Justin's only sister, but Cherylene and Frances were friends long before Cherylene and Justin got together. The two did several dance numbers for fundraisers and talent shows back in the day. They were president and vice president of the Leo's Club in high school. Now they enjoy getting brunch at the Living Room and drinks at Union in Tucson.

Chris Rosales

Best Brother

Chris (CJ) is Justin's younger brother. One early memory that was captured on video was around Christmas 1993. CJ was about 14 months old and was blowing a toy horn. Justin tried taking the horn from CJ, but CJ would not share. Justin let go and walked by him but made sure to bump into him and knock him down. The brotherly love would only grow stronger after that knock down. CJ currently works and lives in Tucson, but they try to get Taco Bell every time they visit each other.

Lauren Sandground

Bridesmaid

Lauren and Cherylene were randomly paired as suitemates at ASU and it was a match made in paradise. The two quickly became friends and bonded over crafting and food; especially cheese. They only lived together for one year, but it was enough for them to write-up a friendship contract, including that they would both be bridesmaids at each other's weddings. While Lauren went off to law school in Virginia and learned how to draft real contracts, their friendship remains and the contract is being upheld.

RJ Celles

Best Cousin

RJ is Justin's older cousin. They grew up next to each other until Justin's family moved in the early 2000s. They would use pillows and blankets as terrain to play Lego battles. He used a red Lego character named "Tom-ato," and Justin used a green Lego character named "Sal-ad." He often gave Justin hand-me-down clothes and shoes, which allowed Justin to spend money on other things, such as gifts or dinners for Cherylene.

Janice Chan

Bridesmaid

Janice and Cherylene went to medical school together, along with Aishah. Being from California, Janice taught Cherylene a lot about being Asian, including soju and hot pot. They learned to ski/snowboard together, explored all of Colorado's many breweries, and went on a medical mission to Guatemala together. Janice was the smartest of their friends in medical school and had a huge part in helping Cherylene graduate.

Robert Kachala

Best Bro

Robert and Justin met during junior year at the best Arizona college. They bonded over their appreciation of Blu-rays. One Saturday, they watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy on Blu-ray. Robert also introduced Peaky Blinders to Justin, which got him hooked on drinking whiskey neat. Robert joins the monthly Bro Brunch and whenever the Bros go Salt River tubing, Robert is the reliable one to tie all the tubes and coolers together.
