Go root for our Phoenix Suns or see a concert at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Located downtown, there are several options for dining and bars. We recommend getting the Mussels Provencale at 1130 the Restaurant located in the Arizona Center mall and getting cocktails at Bitter and Twisted. Chase Field is also across the street for those that are interested in baseball to see the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Located catty corner to Cherylene and Justin's alma mater, Arizona State University, another area for shopping and dining. We recommend reliving our college days by getting a Long Island Iced Tea and shooting some pool at Cue Club. A couple of our favorite restaurants are La Bocca and Cornish Pasty. Tempe Town Lake is located on the north end of Mill Avenue and offers paddle boat, kayak, stand up paddle board, and bike rentals.
A huge favorite of Cherylene, but especially Justin, Los Favs gets its own recognition here because it's one of our favorites of Phoenix. Swing by here if you are looking for a quick bite. We recommend the California burrito, bean and cheese burrito, rolled tacos, and super nachos. Basically we are listing their entire menu. It's that good.
If you plan on staying the long weekend and are feeling outdoorsy, take in the views of the famous red rocks. Sedona is only 1 hour and 45 minutes drive from the reception venue. Our recommendations include Chapel of the Holy Cross, hiking to Devil's Bridge, Slide Rock State Park, Tlaquepaque shopping district, walking the downtown strip, or catching your own lunch at the Rainbow Trout Farm.
