If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, Ninfas is your place. Opened in 1973, they're known as "The best Mexican food in Texas since Texas was in Mexico". They were a semi-finalist for a James Beard award in 2019. When Ninfas celebrated their 50th year anniversary in 2023, Mayor Turner declared Nov. 12 the Original Ninfa’s Day. We recommend the fajitas, but you can't go wrong with anything at Ninfas.
Black Walnut is a favorite for classic American food. We recommend the Asian Glazed Atlantic Salmon, Blackened Fettuccine Alfredo, and Chocolate Cake.
We make a point to go here almost every time we visit. Alex loves any of the Eggs Benedict entrees (Bella Bella Benny and Chile Verde Benny are awesome). Josh prefers the Snooze Classic. Regardless of your order, we're sure you'll be satisfied!
This is a pretty greenery area in Houston and happens to be where Josh proposed to Alex! It features shady trees and an impressive water wall. The Galleria Mall is the largest shopping mall in Texas and features 400 stores and restaurants.
If you're a science fan, the Houston Museum of Natural Science is definitely worth a visit. Exhibit Halls include: Paleontology, Ancient Egypt, Gems and Minerals, various wildlife and other fun things.
