A Bishop family Christmas is the best kind of Christmas. Matching pajamas for all including our baby dog Oliver.
Daniel and Chandini designed an engagement ring together at a local jewelry store in the French Quarter. Here they are toasting after the ring was purchased!
Dan and Chands wanted the ring to symbolize two families & cultures uniting. The center stone is Daniel’s mom’s diamond and the surrounding stones are red rubies to pay tribute to Hindu culture.

Daniel got Chandini into riding bikes somehow and they’re now a biker family. Still trying to figure out how to get their dog Oliver on a bike…

Chands went on a trip to India in December 2019 and enlisted the help of her amazingly resourceful Ammama (grandma) to buy Daniel some tablas (Indian drums).

Daniel and Sitaram (Chandini’s Dad) bonding over music. There have been many jam sessions in this musical family of ours and Sitaram is thrilled to have a drummer join the family band.
One of the many Kankakee river kayaking trips. This one with Daniel’s family! We may look energetic here but we kayaked for ~7 hours and crawled on hands and knees back to the car when we were done!
Dan’s birthday is November 8th and Chands’ birthday is November 9th. Here’s to many more years of these two Scorpio souls celebrating birthdays together and to Ruma’s delicious rum cake.

Chandini became a hairdresser during quarantine. Minimal amounts of hair and a lot of tears were shed.
One of our favorite parks in the city: Crescent Park. We rode our bikes here and snacked on some green grapes while enjoying the Mississippi River views.
After a 19 mile bike ride (ok ok it was an electric bike ride haha) Dan and Chands had a picnic at City Park and posed with one of the majestic live oaks.
This was definitely Chandini’s idea…
