Sister of the Bride. Growing up, Jennifer and I were never not laughing or scheming ways to sneak junk food and fast food to our room. Late night snacks in the closet and teaching our youngest sister how to eat quietly! We have our ups and downs, but she's been part of so many of my best memories. She even allowed Khalil to propose to me on her birthday! It's only fitting that she'll join me as a maid of honor on my greatest adventure yet.

If you've ever seen Reggie and Khalil together in person, you know their bromance runs deep. (So deep, in fact, that Catherine tries not to be jealous). Who knew randomly assigned college roommates and college football teammates would turn into best friends. It all started out with Reggie thinking Khalil is gay based on his social media profile. Khalil thought Reggie was a big guy with dreads. None of those are true, but their bromance is on fire! Reggie is also a fantastic photographer/videographer that has captured special moments in our relationship.

Sister of the Bride. Elizabeth is my youngest sister and the master chef/foodie! She’s always finding new spots to try out and recipes to whip up in the kitchen. Elizabeth always helps me see the bright side of everything and reminds me to be more light hearted. I’m glad she was able to help pick out our wedding reception menu and stand by my side on the wedding day!

If you ever met Justin, you know he is a one of a kind guy. Justin and I met playing football at Hardin-Simmons. Outside of football, we like to play video games, card/board games (Justin likes to cheat in all games), and chill with the guys. He's also another talented photographer that captured many of our special memories during college years. Glad to have him as a friend and groomsman.

Josey is my favorite cowgirl in the whole wide world. I love Josey’s loyalty, optimism and faith. Fun fact: she’s is a ranch wife and was 2012 Clay County’s Rodeo Queen! We were in the same class at HSU doctor of physical therapy program. It was so fun to have her as a neighbor, convenient too for many late nights studying and coffee, outdoor walks during the pandemic when class was on zoom, and laughs trying to scare each other! She sure made Abilene, TX a better place. Every city gal needs a country friend!

Brother of the Groom Sahaad “big onions” is my younger brother and also the reason I was able to relive childhood. Sahaad and I could basically be twins even though we are 10 years apart. We love video games, shoes, and ultimately some of the biggest wrestling fans that you know. I couldn’t imagine my big day without having my little brother in my line up.

Sister of the Groom. Ary is not only my future sister-in-law, but also one of my dearest friends. When we first met, I was intimidated, but Ary wasn’t as bad as Khalil had made her out to be. She has a history of scaring girls away, but only to protect her brother. We’ve since shared plenty of late-night FaceTime calls making fun of Khalil, road trips and workouts (with many more to come!). She has an infectious laugh and can always crack us up with her silly jokes.

I met Noah in 6th grade about 16 years ago. He is my brother another mother. He shares the same love for swimming, sports and video games. Our friendship has outlasted middle school, high school and adulthood. Noah and I haven’t lived in the same city since after high school, but we’re always able to pick up right where we left off whenever we’re together.

Devin and I met through college football at HSU —competing for playtime as wide receivers. Although it’s competitive on field, Devin is one of the guys I can talk about anything and everything with. He’s never judgmental and can help lighten the mood. Devin is a dog-dad who loves video games and low-key, a drink master mixologist.

Hannah and I were introduced by, at that time, our boyfriends Jim and Khalil. Now Jim and Hannah are married with a sweet daughter name Ella (our flower girl). We started out as friends taking fun trips together, laughing during game nights and sharing glasses of wine to running our Zyia Active business together. Hannah and Jim’s love has been inspirational to us. Can’t say “I Do” without this beautiful gem by my side!

Khalil and John have been best friends since the 4th grade. Nickname: Toast. Not sure why, but that’s what he called himself. We rode bikes all through Freeport, TX and risk getting grounded by my parents. He’s a reliable friend I can always go to. Good dude with a lot of energy, but has two-left feet. Good luck finding him on the dance floor. If you do, you’re guaranteed a good laugh. There’s never a dull moment.

We met in a parking lot of an inpatient rehab hospital that we were assigned to for a clinical rotation. Tanasia was lost on her first day and she thought I worked there. Little did she know, I just walk with confidence so I looked like I belong! Started out as strangers, but I gained a forever friend. Every physical therapist needs an occupational therapist! I know she’ll keep me calm and laughing on the wedding day.

Tam and I met freshman year at Hardin-Simmons University during 2-a-days fall football camp. Other than football, he is also as nerdy, sharing the same love for video games and creative content design. Tam carries a mild and humble nature, but don’t let that fool you, because he is hilarious! Over the past 8 years, Tam has really become one of my closest friends.

Lara and I were introduced by Khalil and her husband Donavon. We have shared so many memories ranging from game nights and friends trip to me dog sitting Ryla when she was out of town for a HSU softball game. She’s been there through the hard times of our relationship and I can’t imagine our special day without this beautiful gal by my side!

Donavon was one of the first people I met the summer before moving to Abilene for college through a mutual friend. Our friendship started with meeting in person at HSU to take the ACT exam, in hopes to get more scholarship funds. Somehow…we both failed to get more money and now have loans to pay off. As much of a goofball this guy is, his down-to-earth personality makes it hard to not want to be friends with him. Donavon is one of the truest friend and I am blessed to share my big day with him.

We’ve watched this 5 year old grow up since he was a toddler! He loves to play soccer and read books. His favorite foods are pizza, quesadillas and broccoli. No matter where you are, Andrew is always dressed for the occasion. Andrew has a special place in our hearts and we can’t imagine our wedding day without the BEST RING SECURITY!

Fr. Hai Dang is a wonderful priest in Houston, TX and also a loving uncle. He first met Khalil when we went out to eat pho. Can’t imagine our special day without uncle Hai as our officiant!
