Camp Jorn YMCA

Our wedding venue is a summer camp! All events for the weekend will be held at the camp and there is lodging to accommodate up to 200 people on site. The lodging consists of 2 large cabins for the wedding party and a variety of smaller cabins, yurts, and platform tents for other guests. The small cabins cost $125 or $160/night and sleep 12 people, the yurts are $110/night and sleep 12 people, and the platform tents are $50/night and sleep 12 people. All facilities including the yurts and tents have electricity, but only some of the cabins have heat (hopefully we won't need in September) and private restrooms (there are nice bath house facilities). You can also bring your own camper or tent to stay on-site for a minimal cost, but there is no available electrical hook-up. Click 'Visit' below for more info. The Lodge at Manitowish Waters--BOOKED!!

LAST WE HEARD THIS HOTEL WAS ALL BOOKED WITH GUESTS FOR THE WEDDING! PLEASE SEE OTHER OPTIONS FOR LODGING! For those who are looking for less rustic accommodations, we have reserved a block of 10 rooms at a nice hotel called The Lodge which is just 3 miles around the lake from Camp Jorn. The hotel has a total of 18 rooms of varying sizes and costs. If there are rooms outside of the block that are not reserved they will be available as well. Some rooms do allow pets. Call the number listed above to reserve your room before August 21, 2019 and mention you are a part of the Cavanagh-Brown wedding block.

Great Northern Hotel

For those who are looking for a middle ground between Camp Jorn and The Lodge, we have reserved a block of 30 rooms at a nice hotel called Great Northern which is 12 miles from Camp Jorn in Mercer, WI. The hotel has a total of 80 standard hotel rooms. If there are rooms outside of the block that are not reserved they will be available as well. Some rooms do allow pets. Call the number listed above to reserve your room before August 21, 2019 and mention you are a part of the Cavanagh-Brown wedding block. This hotel also has a bar/restaurant attached as well as a shuttle service to and from Camp Jorn that will be provided.

Great Northern Party Bus

September 21, 2019 1:15 pm - 12:00 am

There will be a 16 person shuttle that will travel to and from Camp Jorn to The Lodge and the Great Northern Hotels both before the 2:30pm ceremony (leaving the Great Northern at 1:15pm and 1:45pm and the Lodge at 1:20pm and 1:50pm) and at 9pm, 10:30pm, and 12am during the reception. People can feel free to leave their cars at the camp until Sunday morning. We would like guests to stay safe and refrain from drinking and driving!

Camp Jorn is located in one of the most northern parts of the state of Wisconsin. It is a 4 hour drive from Madison, 4.5 from Milwaukee, 4.5 from Minneapolis, and 6 hours from Chicago. http://www.campjornrentals.com/images/map.gif For people flying in from far away, we recommend flying into one of these major hubs and either: 1) Hitching a ride with another guest 2) Renting a car 3) Catching a connecting flight to the Gogebic-Iron County Airport (which is 38 miles from Camp Jorn) (information in the link below) http://flyfromironwood.com/airline-service/ We understand it may not be the easiest destination for our guests to get to, but we promise it will be worth it!
