Explore the lakes. Manitowish Waters is known for its chain of 10 lakes that encompass more than 4,200 acres of Wisconsin’s Northwoods. The crystal-clear waters offer an abundance of recreation options, from canoeing and kayaking to fishing and boating. The chain of lakes also includes a section of the 44-mile Manitowish River, a great destination for paddlesports.
There's no better place to hang out than on a 70+ acre peninsula with all the northwoods activities you could ever hope for. Got a boat? Bring it to camp and park it at the camp docks for the weekend. Don't have a boat? Rent a pontoon, canoe, or kayak, or sail boat for a nominal fee and enjoy all that Lake Rest has to offer. Really the options for activities are endless: swimming, basketball, hiking, archery, mountain biking, etc. If you can think of an outdoor activity, you can probably do it at camp. They even own a small island called Fox Island that you can travel to, explore, and have a campfire!
