Maid of Honor
Mayra and I often times seem so different from the outside, but our differences are what compliment our friendship, we met when we were in grade 8. She is my soul sister, someone who I know will always be there for me and someone who I will never leave behind. We have done so much together over the years, we went to college together, I used to cook dinner for the both of us in a tiny dorm room with a toaster oven. Our college pizza order was from Ginos and had pineapple, bacon, and hot peppers. We had our first major city voting day together, managed to get lost and went to the wrong centre. We have been through thick and thin of both our lives, and I am so happy I have her standing next to me.
Best Man
We met Stephen and Jess in 2021 when we moved from Carries old place on Strausburg Rd. to Church St. and they were, by coincidence, moving right to the area we just left. Stephen came to our door one day and asked James if we would be able to help them move, he said sure, and a couple days later I went by with some baked goods to talk and get to know them. We have been doing boardgames nights and TV nights with them since then, we were there when they had their daughter and we fell in love with her and watched her grow. We are still there what feels like every other weekend sometimes, with the three of them. They are a very treasured addition into our life, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Bridesmaid
Since we were 11 years old there was always something about Heather that I have dearly loved, we have always been able to work so well together with everything we did. With our movie night sleepovers, walking from my place to the movie theatre, always stopping by Ralphs for sour keys and jones sodas, and blue slushies at the theatre. And as we grew older, we messaged each other nearly every day to as often as we could when we got to college and were provinces apart. I know I could lean on Heather and she knows she could lean on me. I am so proud to have Heather standing up in my Wedding.
Groomsman
Mike is James's youngest brother, he is a unique personality like his brothers, and definitely shines as a little trickster. I still remember, during the first year of James and I dating, I was over at their house for the night and Mike was struggling with getting an English report done on a Shakespeare piece I hadn't read in years. The two of us stayed up late working on his project until it was good enough to get him a decent grade. James and Mike's humour together is always an eye roll joy, you can always count on the two of them to bore their brother and mom to death with words at times. We are both so happy and proud of Mike, and so glad that he will be with us on our wedding day.
Bridesmaid
From walking home and standing at our intersecting street corners to going to McDonalds for ice cream and monopoly, inside jokes and weird antics since we were 11 years old. Judy is a someone who, while even though we don't live just down the street anymore, I will always be able to pick up the phone and just be able to talk to her just like only a day has past instead of months. We will continue to have our fun and fill each other in on our boring and crazy times, I can always rely on her to lighten the mood when needed, but also be there for me if things are hard. I wouldn't have it any other way, than to have Judy here with me on my special day.
Groomsman
Matt is James's middle brother, when I met Matt he was beyond welcoming to me. We used to go on ice cream dates and have long talks about both our lives. James and Matt have a special relationship, I can see the way that Matt looks up to James and the way that James is proud of his brother. Every time we are all together the two of them are joking around the whole night, especially when Mike is there and the three of them turn into trouble makers. James will always be their big brother, and will always pretend to be annoyed at them both, but I can see how much he loves them. When James asked Matt to be a groomsmen Matt was so happy, and I can say I am so happy to have him standing with us.
Bridesmaid
Amy and I met in college through a mutual friend, we were roommates in our apartment 216, during school. We quickly became friends and shared a love for good food and good company, and of course cats. Her and her boyfriend, now husband, Brad loved to make any excuse to cuddle with Goosey, and the four of us would have fun enjoying meals together. Over our time in 216, and the time after we left it we did a lot together that I hold dearly in my heart, friendships as adults can be hard to make time, but we are always willing to work around plans. I stood up in Amy's wedding in June 2023, I am proud to have her standing with me for mine.
