Before we started dating, when we were just talking through text we sent each other pictures of the Solar Eclipse at the exact same time, I was at work...

James was fishing during the Solar Eclipse.

So when we sent each other these photos it felt like we were perfect for each other, before we even started.

This was from an escape room we did together with his dad's side of the family and his brothers, this was the first time I really met them!

Our first Christmas party together from when I worked at Home Depot in Kitchener, he won a drill set and my heart.

This was how we spent most of the start of our relationship, even our first 'dates' before we were a thing were spent playing video games. James sat on my bed and I sat on the ground infant of him.

Our first year anniversary was in Toronto, we stayed in a hotel called The Beverly Hotel, it was cute and hip and so fun.

We walked around the Queen st. area on this trip, James bought me some adventuring green earrings and because my toe was broken I bought flats for walking to dinner.

We also went to Hys Steakhouse for our first year anniversary dinner, we enjoyed good food and wine and each others company.

When I told my mom that the guy I am dating is allergic to cats, she said he has to get over the allergy if he wants to be with me. Luckily James fell in love with kitties and opted to take benadryl.

I also brought Storm down, and James fell in love with him just as much.

Our boys were perfect together, they loved each other so much and we were afraid with how Storms health was going, Goose would be left alone.

Our first chistmas card we did together, way back in the old apartment that I had with my roommates and friends. The boys were always a fan of Christmas time.

Our first trip together to James's cottage on Manitoulin Island, we left super early from my moms place in Port Elgin to get to the Chi Cheemaun

Honestly it was such a beautiful vacation away, we did a lot of activities that week.

We enjoyed each others company in a way we dont get to do much in the city, alone and with nature. Its peaceful.

We hiked a lot and picked berries for pies.

For our second year anniversary we spent it doing some hikes so that we could practice for our vacation in Iceland.

We land in Iceland and make our way to Reykjavik, we got there super early and had to wait for our hotel to be ready so we got coffee and enjoyed the sunrise.

We came back to this spot of water at the shore of Reykjavik in the mornings. It was such a breathtaking sight to see mountains everywhere.

The Reykjavik churck, Hallgrimskirkja, was a beautiful way to see the city!

Us inside the church

Just look at the view from it!

Our first night out watching the bands! we learned very quickly that it was cold outside, sure, but venues are hot and taking shots is a good way to stay warm.

Second night out we saw a cool band that was pure instrumental, definitely a highlight.

Glass museum band!

We picked up our car, it was the same colour as our car back in Canada so we were super excited, and we decided to explore the area outside of the city.

Google struggled to pronounce the names of roads and places, but we enjoyed just driving. Such beautiful sights!

We went to the museum on thermo energy, we got to play around with some stuff.

and on our last full day we were out hiking a mountain to bath in the hot springs!

the hike up was icy and while we did layer it was hot from working out in those layers, later when we made our way back down the mountain we slid our way down...

We did make it up to the top though and we bathed in the natural hotsprings it was so beautiful and I never wanted to leave.

But we did have a big show to go to, we were seeing OMAM, but their opening act was a singer that we both loved and continued to follow after, I got James a signed record of his for his bday.

We met our Beanie girl in 2020

We fell in love with her, and she had some health issues at the start.

Despite all that, we got to take her home finally and she slept on James's shoulder the whole way

She was the perfect addition

A little bit crazy and wasn't afraid to boss around her brothers

The perfect bundle to add to our family

I love that we can be silly together

that we find joy in our time together

That we laugh every day

That we hold each other up

That being with each other feels warm in the heart, and perfect in every way

Visiting Ottawa in the winter isn't fun, but we did have an amazing time with Heather and Sam!

We learned that Heather doesn't read what she signs us up for, and that the boys were afraid of horror themed escape rooms and James trampled me at the first sign of threat

But of course, just like at home we had to pay the most attention to the cat, Gustave you have our heart too.

When it comes to testing things in the kitchen, James is 100% there to help me with experimenting. We were both just excited to try a new dish and taste new things!

We have been through three graduations together, but I hope that this is our last for a while. James has been an amazing support person for my culinary experience!

My first Jay's game, James knows I haven't really seen many sports in person, but this was a blast!

I still have no idea what goes on in baseball but I try.

The day I said Yes to the Dress!

We do like hiking a lot, its just that we don't always have time to do it, so I am thankful when we do have time we try to go out and enjoy nature!

wow so cute

We had the chance to go off to the Cottage again in 2023, we left early from Kitchener for the first boat out.

The day was beautiful, as the whole week would be, sunny and warm all the way. perfect weather!

We started off each morning by coming to the docks and enjoying the sun and the quiet weather, literally doing nothing but reading and swimming all week.

And making delicious dinners every night just enjoying food, sun, and water

Our date nights by the water were honestly the best

But we did have to say goodbye to the calm embrace of Manitoulin, we had to see the babies again and get back to life

James's company had been great, we had a few social events with them but because of them I got the chance to Golf for the first time.

I googled how woman who golf look and came up with an outfit the best I could, but I also found out I liked Golf more than I expected.
