Lucero Canteen
This is the best coffee shop in town, in my opinion, I go here about once a week for coffee and to chat with the people behind the counter. If you have the time to go in and sit there I recommend it, the atmosphere is chill and their donuts are best in town, they have other baked goods too that are absolutely delicious, and they switch up the flavours almost daily. If they have anything by DAK in, its my favourite coffee roaster from Denmark and I recommend their Candy Crush or Milky Cake flavours!
Poppy's Bagels
Overall just a delicious place to get fresh made bagels and sandwiches. I recommend their Kyrie sandwich on an everything bagel, or if you get there before 11 am their breakfast bagels are perfect! They also have some good iced chai!
The Adventures Guild
Who doesn't love boardgames and food? This is a fun, local boardgames cafe that has a good selection of games, fun staff, and good atmosphere!
Kelso Summit
Beautiful area to go hiking, James and I hike here every now and then and we had our second year anniversary hiking here so we could practice for hiking in Iceland that year. Its beautiful to see all the colour change in the leaves, there are easier to more difficult paths to take and its right by the Hilton Falls too where James and I have gone to for a couple lighter hiking dates.
Bauer Kitchen
This was the restaurant that we had our first date in many years back, James picked me up in his dads vehicle instead of us bussing, he got flustered on the way to the restaurant because he got lost but I told him it was okay, because life is an adventure. It was rainy and cloudy that day, but James brought a telescope so we could go star gazing. The food is very good here, lots of delicious options! It is also right next to Vincenzos which is a grocery store that has a lot of selection and the best place in town to get Gelato.
St. Jacobes Farmers Market
It's a farmers market, it has a lot of good produce and some vendors there. The real reason its on here is because there is a booth in the building that is called Holy Cannoli and they sell my favourite cannolis with a pistachio filling, the salted caramel filling is also very good but 100/10 recommend the pistachio hard shell filled cannolis. Only opened Thursday and Saturday, but if you wanted to make a pit stop the morning of the wedding this is a perfect place! there is also a vintage and antique place very close by that has a lot of neat stuff to look at!
