What is the dress code?

Answer

Our theme is vintage black tie and we are encouraging guests to wear cocktail/black tie attire. What that means is suits for the men, and midi, tea length, or floor length dresses for the women. We do have a colour scheme that guests can follow if they are in need of inspiration, but it is not required.

What is the weather this time of year?

Answer

It is October in Ontario, so it will be chilly. If you get cold easily I would recommend a light coat or shawl that looks nice in photos, the ceremony and reception is indoors, but the ceremony is held in a glass building with windows by a river so there will be a draft or two.

Where is the ceremony & reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be located at the Cambridge Mill, located at 100 Water St N, Cambridge, ON N1R 1P1. The ceremony will be held in the Pavilion, and the Reception will be held in the Waterfront room.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is located in front of the Cambridge Mill, there is more than enough for our guests. Parking is free.

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Yes, the links are located on this website. We are also fully open to cash donations to go towards our honeymoon and saving for a future home.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

When the Invitations are sent out you will be able to RSVP on this website provided by the link that will be on the invitation, on the RSVP you will also be able to choose your dinner options and your plus ones dinner options.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We will urge our guests to please RSVP by August 2024 at the latest so we can give an accurate guest count to the Cambridge mill in advance, and so that we know what we need to prepare for. Thank you.

What is the event timeline?

Answer

We are asking guests to arrive to the venue at 5:00 to give time for some socializing and photos before the ceremony, after the ceremony we will be able to go into the Waterfront room for cocktail hour during which we will enjoy the food and drink and some more photos. Dinner is served at 7:30, after which we will go into our first dance. Everyone can have fun and party into the night, we have the venue until 1AM, and the late night snack is served at 10:30!

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Answer

Yes, of course! The Mill is more than accommodating for those with dietary restrictions, we will just need to know from you before hand so we can make sure that you are getting exactly what you need and that the kitchen knows what they need to do to meet your needs. You can let us know personally but in the RSVP there will be a section for the dietary restrictions as well.
