If this is your first time in DC, you must visit the National Mall. Stop by to see all of the monuments, the White House, and the Tidal Basin. (The Jefferson Memorial is where Luke popped the question). Insider Tip: One of the best times to see the monuments is in the evening when it is getting dark. There is something special about seeing them lit up.
The Smithsonian is home to 21 museums and the National Zoo. There is something for everyone! Stop by and get lost in one or hop around to different exhibits (they are all free). Some of our favorites include: American Art Museum, American History Museum, American Indian Museum, and the Natural History Museum. Don't forget to check out the Zoo - and stop by and see the Pandas!
One of our favorite spots in the city is the National Arboretum. It is a beautiful park to walk around and see a variety of different plants and trees. It is also one of Charlie's favorite spots.
Come stop by our neighborhood! Dupont Circle is where we call home here in DC. There are so many great shops, cafes, and incredible food. Some of our favorite spots in the neighborhood are: The Dupont Circle Farmers Market (Sundays), Agora, Lucky Buns, and The Commodore DC.
