If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we look forward to celebrating with you and any others listed on your invitation. We appreciate you understanding!
While our niece and nephews are invited, we politely ask that all other children stay at home and that you make this a fun date night on us. We look forward to celebrating with them another time and hope you understand!
If you are staying at The Carleton, it is about a 10-minute walk to the venue if you are able to make it. Otherwise, we recommend public transit, ridesharing, or driving: - There are many CTA trains and buses that get you near the venue, and is a very affordable option. If you do ride the CTA to the venue, we recommend taking a rideshare later in the evening to ensure everyone's safety. - Chicago and Oak Park are more densely populated areas, meaning there are plenty of rideshare options, including Lyft and Uber. It will be easy to call one at any time of day. - There is a public parking garage right next to the venue that offers your first hour of parking free and very affordable rates each hour after that. Oak Park is more suburban than other areas of Chicago, so traffic is not as hectic.
No - the Carleton Hotel is very close to the venue - a 3 minute drive or 10 minute walk. We will provide rideshare codes to those staying at the Best Western for discounted rides to and from the venue.
Please arrive at 4pm, the ceremony will start shortly after that.
Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place at the 19th Century Club.
All events will be held indoors. August in Chicago is humid and sticky, and the bride doesn't need her hair to frizz anymore than it already does.
Yes! When you RSVP we ask if you have any dietary restrictions, please enter it there and we will ensure it gets to the caterer.
