Travel Note
Getting to Long Island, Maine The only way to get to Long Island is by boat, which makes the trip part of the adventure! You’ll hop on the Casco Bay Lines ferry in downtown Portland and cruise your way out to us. Ferry Details: • Where to Board: Casco Bay Lines Terminal, 56 Commercial Street, Portland, ME • Ride Time: About 45 minutes (plenty of time to enjoy the views!) • Tickets: Available online at cascobaylines.com or at the terminal. Booking ahead is a good idea, especially on weekends. Parking: There’s no parking right at the terminal, but there are garages and lots all along Commercial Street. Give yourself extra time to park, grab your tickets, and stroll over to the dock. Pro Tips for the Ride: • Arrive at least 30 minutes early so you’re not rushing. • Head up to the top deck for fresh air and ocean views. • Yes—you can drink on the ferry, so pack a few of your favorite beers or drinks for the ride! • Keep your camera handy—the ferry ride is one of the prettiest parts of the day. When you step off the boat on Long Island, you’ll officially be in wedding mode. From there, everything is just a short walk or drive away- we will have family friend shuttling folks where they need to go :) For schedules, fares, check out Casco Bay Lines. (More details on parking options will be coming shortly, as well as details on the last ferry or boats leaving the island after the wedding)
Hotel
This is right across from Casco Bay Lines and where the water taxis can do pick up and drop offs. It would be the most accessible to get to the island!
Hotel
A favorite of Joe & Carli’s. Comfy rooms and a great bar called the Armory :)
