Our story began at the University of Illinois, where Caren had her friends and Anthony his. Most of those friends just so happened to be the same people - yet we never quite became friends with each other. Fast forward to post-college, where we started seeing more of each other and realized that we actually had quite a bit in common, like our taste in music (no, not all jam bands are the same) and passion for the intersection between our respective fields of study (hers environmentalism and his economics). And so our friendship started growing, all the while still surrounded by those same mutual friends. Ultimately, it was our good friends Emily and Jacob who saw our potential, and mischievously circled the calendar for when we’d all be together in Chicago for the Sacred Rose Music Festival. Like good friends do, they gave us a little push accompanied by not so subtle hints that maybe we should flirt with each other (their words, not ours). By the end of the weekend, we both walked away thinking the same thing: hmmm..maybe we also saw the potential. So here we are today! Both sharing our love for Mingo and Brutus, live music, travel, decadent home cooked meals, snowboarding, and objectively horrible end of the world movies. We are so excited to continue living the life of our dreams together, and cannot wait to celebrate our new chapter with all of our favorite people!
