FAQs

Question

Will I be required to complete a covid-19 test prior to the wedding?

Answer

Yes. We will require all guests to complete a covid-19 test prior to arrival for the wedding ceremony and reception. More details will be included on the final wedding invitations.

Question

Will I need to wear a mask and/or facial shield for all wedding activities?

Answer

You are required to wear a mask for the duration of the wedding and ceremony, except when eating or consuming beverages. You may also wear a facial shield for extra protection should you desire. Both masks and facial shields will be available for guests should they need one.

Question

Will I be required to wear a mask even if I've received the Covid-19 vaccination?

Answer

Yes. Per CDC recommendations, even vaccinated individuals should continue to wear masks and socially distance at large social gatherings.

Question

Will I be seated with members of my "household" or "social bubble"?

Answer

Yes. Following receipt of RSVPs we will be doing our best to ensure all members of the same households and "social bubbles" are seated together. This is being done in an effort to minimize risk of exposure between parties while eating and drinking without masks.

Question

If I've received one of the approved Covid-19 vaccines when am I fully protected?

Answer

For those seeking out a vaccination prior to the wedding, keep in mind that it takes 2 full weeks for the vaccine to provide full protection to the individual. To ensure you're safe, continue to follow all recommended masking and distancing protocols prior to, during, and after the wedding ceremony and reception. CDC Guidelines: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html.

Question

What hotel should I stay in for the weekend's wedding activities?

Answer

We have reserved rooms at Courtyard Marriott/Sonesta hotel (ownership changed in February) near Piedmont Park. The Midtown location of this hotel not only means you're in the immediate vicinity of the venue, but you'll easily be able to explore the neighborhoods, restaurants, and museums of the area.

Question

Do I have to stay in Courtyard Marriott/ Sonesta (Changing Ownership in Feb) Hotel to attend the wedding activities?

Answer

No. All guests may choose to stay at any hotel, Airbnb, or other accommodation of their choice. The hotel provides the benefit of pre-blocked lodging and a free shuttle service to the wedding venue the day of the wedding.

Question

Can I take pictures during the wedding ceremony?

Answer

No. We kindly request that guests not attempt photography during the ceremony to ensure official photographers have an unimpeded view of the ceremony. We promise we'll share beautiful ceremony photos once they're released by our photographers.

Question

Can I take pictures during the wedding reception?

Answer

Yes. You're welcome to take as many photos as you'd like. Please remember to hashtag all photos on social media (#smittenwithsamuelofori) so we're able to see them afterwards :)
