Airports

Washington, DC is served by three major airports. Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA): The closest option, just 15–20 minutes from downtown DC by car or Metro. Ideal for convenience. Washington Dulles International (IAD): About 45 minutes from downtown. Best for international flights and a wider range of airlines. Baltimore/Washington International (BWI): Around 1 hour from downtown. Often the most budget-friendly, with Amtrak and MARC trains connecting directly to Union Station.

Getting Around by Metro

DC’s Metro system is an easy way to get around the city without worrying about parking. The closest stop to the National Museum of Women in the Arts is Metro Center (Red, Orange, Silver, and Blue lines), just a short walk from the venue. Buy a reusable SmarTrip card at any station or use Apple Pay/Google Pay to tap in and out. Trains run until midnight on weekdays and later on weekends.

Travel Note

Rideshare & Parking

Rideshares like Uber and Lyft are widely available throughout DC and often the easiest way to get between venues. Street parking downtown can be limited. For guests driving, we recommend nearby garages such as the National Place Garage (1333 H Street NW) or the CityCenterDC Garage (825 9th Street NW). Both are a short walk to the museum. If you’d prefer not to drive, rideshare is the most convenient option (especially for late-night returns after the reception or after party.)
