Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We are excited to tie the knot in the town we met, but we know that puts a strain on our out-of-town, opposite-side-of-the-country guests. We want you to be here to help us celebrate and would rather you spend money on getting here! If you do want to give us a gift, it would mean the world to us if you contributed to our down payment fund on our first home. Paperless option here: https://registry.theknot.com/cali-roth-cody-weise-april-2022-ca/51741893

Question

How is Covid impacting your plans?

Answer

Safety for our guests is our top priority, so we postponed our wedding until April 30, 2022. Vaccines are now widely available and hopefully restrictions will be lifted soon. We wanted to have as much of a "normal" reception as possible (i.e., no masks necessary). We will change plans if another surge occurs or a new strain emerges. Please continue to check here for updates. We appreciate your understanding and we hope our wedding is an excuse for a great post-covid getaway!

Question

Is this a "traditional" wedding?

Answer

We wanted our day to reflect us and be a fun, casual party for everyone to enjoy! You might notice in our ceremony and reception we skip a few traditions. Neither Cali nor Cody are religious so we will have a secular ceremony. Neither of us dance, so we will skip the traditional dances to just get straight to eating dessert and playing games instead! We forgo the bouquet and garter toss for more tasteful and inclusive games that have prizes people actually want 🏆.

Question

What is the venue like?

Answer

This is an estate wedding, and the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. There will be a temperature controlled building available but dinner and games will be held outside. Temperatures at this time of year are usually warm to hot (80s) but bring a jacket just in case. The ground may be uneven, so wear some comfy shoes!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! While there is no official parking lot, there is a dedicated parking lane on Gibson Street right in front of the venue and in the surrounding neighborhoods that visitors are authorized to use.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please be a half hour early so you can get a good seat. Seating is open. We will have beverages available before and during the ceremony.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Nope! We will be in formal attire but you do you 😉 it's hot here in April (80s) so dress comfortably

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Sure! No pets though 😿

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Sure! Just let us know when you RSVP

Question

You invited my SO and I; I want to attend but they don't because they don't like traveling. Can I treat the invite as me +1 and bring an alternate friend or child?

Answer

Please do! We wanted to formally invite specific folks but we also realize travel can be a burden and stressful for some people. We don't mind at all if you bring a +1 or +2 instead of your other half, whatever makes travel fun for you! Just let us know who is coming so we can accommodate them 😁

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

please RSVP by March 31st, 2022

Question

Menu?

Answer

Food containing common allergens and meat will be separated for our guests with special dietary considerations. We will post the final menu with main dishes closer to the date of the reception. There will be vegan options available 🥬 Please let us know if you have any food allergies or intolerances 🥜🧀🌾

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! We will have a buffet but please let us know what foods you need to avoid and we will be sure to accommodate you

Question

What's the best airport?

Answer

Sacramento airport (SMF) is only 15 minutes from Woodland and it's an easy ride share to hotels in either Sacramento or Woodland. San Francisco or Oakland is about 2 hours drive, so it's an option if you plan to rent a car while you visit. Reno is also about 2.5 hours. We suggest only flying into the farther airports if you plan to spend time in those cities, for example you are going to vacation in the Bay Area or Tahoe/Reno and only driving up to Woodland for the wedding.

Question

Where should we book a hotel?

Answer

To be closest to the ceremony and airport - Woodland To be close to the ceremony but have more options for fun and food - Sacramento (also close to the airport) Consider San Francisco, just know you'll have a 1.5 - 2 hour drive to reach Woodland for the ceremony Tahoe/Reno would also be possible (Reno has an airport) but it's about 2.5 hours to Woodland Also, we know that traveling to us is quite the undertaking for some of our guests. If you want to attend the ceremony and just stay for dinner so you can drive back to your hotel in a more enjoyable location you plan to spend the rest of your stay in CA, we don't take any offense!!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. Rideshares like Uber and Lyft are readily available in our area, but if you like to be prepared you can schedule them ahead of time.

Question

What's the weather like in California during the month of April?

Answer

Gorgeous, especially for those coming from the snowy East! Expect mid-to-high 80s and lots of sun. California will be green and the flowers will be in bloom. The venue is fully shaded by an orchard. There will be a closed building with air conditioning available.

Question

I'll be sightseeing while in CA. Any day trip suggestions?

Answer

San Francisco 🌉🥠 (2 hrs) Sacramento 🏙️ (20 minutes) Bodega Bay 🏖️(2.5 hours) Point Reyes 🐙(2.5 hours) Napa Valley 🍷 (1 hour) Muir Woods 🌲(2 hours) Lassen Volcanic National Park🌋 (2.5 hours) Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk 🎡(2 hours) Lake Tahoe 🗻 (2 hours) Reno 🗻🎰(2.5 hours)

Question

I'm willing to travel all over the state. What are some suggestions for things to do that require overnight stays?

Answer

Yosemite🏞️ (4 hrs) Monterey 🏖️(3 hrs) Pinnacles National Park 🧗‍♀️🔆 (3 hrs) Redwoods National and State Parks 🌲 (6 hrs) LA 🌴🌁(6 hrs) - we suggest griffith observatory, la brea tar pits, universal studios, and magic mountain Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park 🏞️(5 hrs) Mt Shasta 🗻 (3.5 hours) Death Valley 🏜️🌡️(8 hrs) Las Vegas 🎲🎰 (9 hrs)

Question

WHERE ARE THE CATS?!?!!

Answer

We wish they could be part of our special day the way they are a big part of our lives, but they would be distressed to be in an unfamiliar setting. Please come visit our apartment and pet them!

Question

Where's the honeymoon?

Answer

We plan on a trip to Greece and Italy for our Honeymoon. Cody loves Greek and Roman history and Cali loves beautiful blue water and gelato. If you've been, give us suggestions of things to see and do!

For all the days along the way
