Flight

From Washington

If you're traveling from Washington, you can fly into the Boise, Idaho airport or the Hailey, Idaho airport. Flying into Boise will be the most economical path of travel, but flying into Hailey is quite convenient. Both have rental car services available. If you fly into Boise, you will need to make the 1.5 hour drive to Hailey. No matter what airport you fly into, Alaska Airlines will be your best bet.

Flight

From Texas

Coming from Texas, you'll want to fly into Boise, Idaho or Salt Lake City, Utah. If you fly into Boise, you'll then need to rent a car to make the 2.5 hour drive to Sun Valley. If you fly into Salt Lake, you can drive the 4.5 hours to Sun Valley but most likely can find a connecting flight into Haley which is 30 minutes from Sun Valley. Delta has the connecting flight from Dallas to Salt Lake to Haley.

House Or Rental

VRBO or Airbnb

Whether you want to stay with a large group or looking for a more home-like arrangements, there are many homes in the area that locals rent out. If you do rent a house, look for one that has access to the Sun Valley resort as their pools and hot tubs are wonderful to have access to.

Rental Car

Getting around

Whether you're flying directly into Hailey, or driving from Boise, you'll want to rent a car if you plan on exploring. The Limelight hotel and the Sun Valley Lodge offer shuttle services for their guests, however if you want to go anywhere far we would suggest renting a vehicle. Uber is available, but only a few cars in the area at one time.
