Being that October is the month of costumes, we met (due to the arrangement of Tyler and Rita) the fateful evening of Monica Alferi's 29th birthday party. Per the 70's theme, Bryan was in an afro wig and woman's tie dye tee, and Aly in a silver holigraphic blouse and leather pants. Naturally, we couldn't keep our eyes off each other.
After a spur of the moment decision to go to Bend, Oregon for the weekend, Bryan decided to make it a weekend to remember. After flagging down a local disgruntled biker to "take a photo", Bryan got down on one knee and proposed in Drake Park on the wooden bridge over Mirror Pond. Shocked by the series of events, Aly said yes allowing the biker to be on his merry way and leave the happy couple to enjoy the moment. What's better than a true surprise, right?
Sun Valley holds a very special place in our hearts. Not only was it the first vacation we took together, but Aly has family here and we spend every New Years enjoying the Sun Valley ski mountains. Always wanting to get married in the mountains, Sun Valley is the perfect spot for our Texas and Washington families and friends to meet in the middle and get to know each other.
