No, not really. Rather than restrict guests to a dress code, we'd like to encourage you to dress accordingly as our ceremony will be outside on a Vermont Summer afternoon and the reception will be in an open-air carriage barn, from late afternoon extending into the evening.
Don't worry Brousseau family, we won't subject you to any hippie-dippie Vermont ways. Luxury portalets will be on site just outside of the carriage barn.
Yes! Parking will be available in an adjacent field to The Soule House property; there will be folks from the venue directing you where to go. The parking field will be a short walk, through manicured grass, from the ceremony location. For any handicap guests or folks in need of a walkway, please let us know! We will provide alternative instructions for drop off or parking in the front of the venue.
Short answer, yes. Long answer, there are specific entrances to the venue, for both the ceremony and reception, that are better suited for guests with handicap abilities and/or wheelchairs; however, there is not an official handicap entrance. There are steps and ledges, albeit some smaller than others, and uneven ground to navigate. If you foresee extreme challenges, please let us know. We will do everything in our power to ensure all of our guests can enter, move around and feel welcome within the space.
Short answer, yes! Long answer, no... Per our venue's guidelines, we are navigating a fairly strict maximum number of guests. If your children's names are included in your address on the save-the-date, they're invited and part of our head count! If you don't intend to bring your children (we completely understand!), please let us know so we can potentially extend an invitation to other families.
If you don't see "and Guest" included in your address on the save-the-date, we would kindly reply no to bringing a date. We are navigating a fairly strict maximum number of guests and currently have all seats accounted for.
Please let us know a.s.a.p. if you have a food allergy! We will be serving dinner buffet style, but will certainly let our caterer know of any allergies and/or diet restrictions. We are already planning for vegetarian and gluten free options as well as mushroom and nut allergies.
Short answer, yes! Long answer, head on over to our Travel & Accommodations page. We've suggested a couple hotels within a half hour drive of the venue (fairly standard distance in VT). If you're wondering about these hotels or any other potential options in the area, please don't hesitate to reach out to Sharon Brousseau with any questions. She's there to help with recommendations; however, she will not be providing any booking services.
