We’re casual folks! However, keep in mind it is a wedding, so just try to wear something nice – doesn’t have to be too fancy or anything. The wedding colours are green and gold and the bride will be wearing green, so please keep that in mind!
Yes! We have booked rooms in the hotel posted in the accommodations page. However, you can also feel free to book Airbnb or any other hotels/accommodations that you would prefer.
Please refer to the “Things to Do” web page! We have many things that you can do in the area, and they’re all compiled on that page.
That’s entirely up to you. We have some people planning to come early and stay for about a week or so, but if it’s easier, please stay for as long or short as necessary.
There are many ways to get around Denver! The hotel we’re recommending for folks to stay at is in Golden, CO, which is quite far from Denver International Airport, but is connected to the airport via train. While in the area, there are options for car rentals, public transit, Lyft, Uber, taxis, etc. Public transit includes train options as well as bus routes. We will also have a shuttle service operating from the hotel to the venue in Evergreen. If you opt for public transit, here is a URL to RTD Denver’s website: https://www.rtd-denver.com/
The airport that you’ll be flying into is Denver International Airport (DEN).
If you’re flying from Canada, we recommend Air Canada, as they have daily trips between Vancouver and Denver. If flying from Kamloops, BC, there is usually a short layover in Vancouver between flights. Southwest used to be our favourite airline in America, however we know that they had troubles over the recent winter holidays, so we aren’t sure which airlines to recommend for Americans. If you’re flying from Europe, there are many different options and we aren’t sure which airlines to recommend – if anyone has any suggestions, please let us know!
Of course! If you have any kids you’d like to bring, they’re invited.
We understand that covid is an ongoing battle and that there will potentially be immunocompromised guests. We want this event to be safe and fun for everyone! While we will not be requiring anyone to wear masks or to provide proof of vaccination, we *very* strongly recommend that all invited guests who can get vaccinated do, and that anyone who feels inclined to wear a mask should feel welcome to do so! Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held outdoors in a small field in front of the Lake House. The reception will be held inside the main portion of the Lake House, but there are also covered open-air patios for anyone who would prefer to remain outdoors. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please let us know!
Make sure you bring sunscreen! Since the elevation is so high, there's not much atmosphere to protect you if you haven't got much of a tan, or even if you have a solid tan, the likelihood to burn is high. Stay safe!
