During the early days of covid, the world was struggling to figure out how to adapt to an isolated lifestyle. Separated by almost 1500 miles, Brooke and Jed turned to the same source of social interaction: World of Warcraft. Their very first mutual friend, a gnome warrior by the name of Amz, invited Jed into the same guild as Brooke. Over the course of 2021, Brooke and Jed became very close online friends, and it's a wonder they didn't get kicked from the guild, given how much overt flirting they did during guild raids! On August 11th, 2021, Brooke and Jed met for the very first time. On August 14th, a mere three days later, their relationship officially began. The remainder of the year was spent figuring out how to make an international relationship work, with several trips across the Canadian-American border, an extended stay in a Canadian ski resort (even though neither of them ski), celebrating Canadian and American Thanksgivings in the opposite countries, and one awesome Halloween party. Despite several issues with border patrol, including one skeptical guard who didn't believe that you could meet a significant other in an online video game, and a four-week layover in Florida (thanks, covid), Brooke successfully transferred to the Computer Science college of the Metropolitan State University of Denver to finish her degree with an emphasis on cyber security. Brooke and Jed have spent the majority of 2022 hiking the Colorado Rockies, rock climbing with friends from both Canada and America, travelling to three different states and across half of British Columbia, and of course, raiding twice a week.
