Matron of Honor
Lil sis who’s not little at all! She plays such a huge role in Brittany’s life to this day - whether it’s makeup, hair, or life advice, Tara is always there for Brittany. She’ll be there to hold her hand, and her dress, and whatever else Brittany’s tells her to hold on the big day. :D Tara’s currently a Deputy Sheriff for the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. She lives in Chula Vista, Ca. with her husband Dimitris, two cats (Max and Mia), and dog (Makena). We both have very fond memories of playing together at our grandma’s house, our second home growing up.
Jarrett Sermeño
Best Man
He's the little brother who grew up, and whether small or tall, will always have Adrian's back. During family vacations he instigated pranks, was an enthusiastic tent buddy, and caught the pitches, even after they started to hurt. He looked up to his older brother because he knew he was just trying to toughen him up. He's the guy who provides the comedy to offset Adrian's sarcasm. He takes his "Best Man" role seriously, and will straighten ties, guard the rings, and toast the loving couple from the heart. He picked up something from those art museums the parents dragged him to on family vacations, complaining aside, that sparked a talent for airbrush and tattoo art. He lives in Antioch with his furry French Bulldog son, Barley Corn, formerly Boris, Leo III, and Bruiser.
Alisa Balesteri

Brittany has known Alisa for 20 years, since they were 10 years old! They sat next to each other in Ms. Olsen's class and they’ve been best friends ever since. Brittany and Alisa have been through so much together as best friends and they’ve always been by each other’s side through good times and bad. Alisa just finished law school and now spends her time baking cookies, studying for the bar and breeding french bulldogs. Alisa gave Brittany her first child, Colonel Mustard Cosmo Kramer aka Cosmo aka Cozzie aka Brittany's second love.
Danny Choi

My brother from another mother! No one knows me like this guy. From our elementary days with all the sleep overs playing Goldeneye, to our high school days tinkering with our cars, Danny has been my rock. All of the snowboarding trips to Kirkwood, Picnic Days in Davis, Halloweens in Santa Barbara, beach weeks in Huntington, and our other shenanigans we could get ourselves into wouldn't have been the same without Danny.
Lindsey Abluton

Brittany was a bridesmaid in Lindsey's wedding. Brittany still has a picture of Lindsey and her playing dress up at Lindsey’s house when they were little. The two have known each other their whole lives. Our dads have been best friends since they were in the 6th grade! Brittany and Lindsey would pretend to “get married” So she could wear one of Lindsey’s pretty dresses 😂 Lindsey and Brittany grew up playing softball together and they have so many fond memories of their time playing travel ball together. Lindsey, also a teacher, lives with her husband Chris in Orange County and the two just welcomed Leo, a beautiful baby boy to their family!

From the early days of the dorms at USCB, this guy understood my competitive nature. I wouldn't go as far to say he is a rival, but he never shied away from a challenge. Even after our utter destruction at our 1 and only game tournament , by children in diapers, he continues to be that friend who is always willing to play 1 more game.
Cheryl Miyake

Brittany met Cheryl in college. They joined the same sorority, alpha Kappa Delta Phi. Brittany was her big sister and her pledge mom! They grew close not only because they were in the same social groups, but also because they had similar interests and goals. The two have spent long, late nights studying together for school and sorority pledging duties (one of Cheryl's pledging duties was to memorize everything about Brittany). The two still carry the tradition on the weekends, lesson planning and grading papers. They joke that they’re like the same person. Cheryl is a teacher too and she loves outdoors and exercise.

This guy shares my competitive spirit. Since we were kids, Austin and I always saw eye to eye when it came to having fun. Be it foosballs, ping pong, golf, bowling, and even something as simple as flipping a cup... it will be a competition!
Saori Mitguard

Saori is Brittany’s cousin. Although Brittany and her are 10 years apart, they became very close when Brittany lived with her and her family in SF. They have a very similar sense of humor and use their creativity to make great works of art (portraits, rap videos, you name it). Saori was also the very first person in Brittany’s family and friend group to meet Adrian. She thought he was athletic, but hairy. 😆 Saori is starting her second year at Chapman University.

Just when I thought my love of Godzilla couldn't be match, this guy proved to be KING. Be it games, pop culture, monster movies, comics, Nolan radiates with passion and knowledge. He keeps me sharp with the details!
Terese & Lewis Ueno
Parents of the Bride
Mom and Dad Ueno are so excited to celebrate Brittany’s big day in their neck of the woods. Lew met Terese’s sister Sandra while they were attending Cal State Long Beach. Sandra introduced him to her sister, Terese and the rest is history. They have been married for 35 years and have 3 children - Brittany, Tara and Nolan.
Sue & Lupe Sermeño
Parents of the Groom
Mom and Dad Sermeno met on the softball field 40 years ago, playing in their company's co-ed league. Soon after, Lupe visited Sue's workplace to ask her out on a lunch date. She accepted, but legitimately had to cancel because Pretender's tickets went on sale that same morning of the date. Lupe took it as a brush-off, so Sue had to tell a friend to ask him to ask her out again. Once the first date happened they stayed together and so-on and so-forth. Just like us, we are so happy that Adrian and Brittany found each other!
