Things To Do
Lovers Point Beach and Bike Path
Start or end your walk, jog or bike ride at Lovers Point Beach in Pacific Grove. The bike path (Monterey Bay Coastal Trail) begins in Seaside, CA near the Naval Postgraduate School and extends all the way to history 17 mile drive in Carmel, CA.
Cannery Row
With a number of shops, restaurants, and historic landmarks, Cannery Row is a necessary stop along the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail bike path. Made famous in Steinbeck's novel "Cannery Row".
Dust Bowl Brewing Co. Tap Depot
With lots of spacious outdoor seating and delicious food trucks on site, the Dust Bowl is a great stop on the bike path trail. It's also a 5 minute walk away from another location on the trail - the Fisherman's Wharf. If you like beer, visit here!
Old Fisherman's Wharf
The Wharf has lots of great souvenir shops, clam chowder, seafood, and whale watching trips!
Alvarado Street
Once known as "Main Street", Alvarado street is the epitome of "downtown" Monterey. It's a single street that runs all the way to the Wharf with shops and restaurants along the way.
El Estero Park
This is where Adrian proposed to Britt! It's also a great path to take a short walk. There's a lake, a place to rent a paddle boat, a skate park, a baseball field, and a huge park (Dennis the Menace Park). The park is basically a dreamland for kids with a life size train that turned into a play structure, a bridge, maze, and tons of other cool areas. Brittany and Tara spent lots of time playing here as children.
Carmel-by-the-Sea
Some spots in this area were made famous in HBO's show "Big Little Lies". Carmel-by-the-sea has tons of wonderful boutiques, department stores, unique and beautiful architecture and fine dining. There's also a number of great Art Galleries in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Carmel Beach
The picture speaks for itself! Gorgeous beaches with white sand and freezing cold water! Britt and Adrian will spend some time here the morning after the wedding. We hope to see you there along with this beautiful view!
Garland Ranch Regional Park
This is a beautiful park with a number of hiking trails at various levels. On your hike, you'll see lots of families and dogs. Brittany, Adrian and Britt's family have come here often with our dogs Lexi and Cosmo.
Folktale Winery & Vineyards
Folktale is a beautiful wine tasting venue with delicious wines, foods, and plenty of outdoor seating. It's also very close to Los Laureles Lodge - our reception venue!
Refuge
The refuge is an amazing co-ed spa with hot tubs, cold plunges, saunas, steam rooms and relaxation rooms. It also has a number of fireplaces and outdoor seating. Swimsuit required, phones and talking prohibited! They also have great massage packages!
