Accommodations

The Wedding Website of Brittainy Grillone and Greg Grillone
There are two options for attending the wedding. Option A: Stay on Star Island overnight. You can book your stay for Saturday night here: https://starisland.thankyou4caring.org/pages/behm-grillone-wedding Option B: Travel to Star for the day, and depart on an evening boat. There are many hotels on the mainland in case you want to stay somewhere local that night (make sure to book early), or you can just head home!

Hotel

Oceanic Hotel on Star Island

When you stay overnight you can choose to stay in the main hotel or in one of the cottages around the island. While the island is charming, it does lack modern comforts of the mainland. Think of Star Island more like a summer camp, not a mainland hotel, most rooms have twin beds, but some double beds are available. All rooms now have wifi and electricity, however, rooms are simply furnished and have shared bathroom facilities on each floor. **All Overnight guests must show proof of being fully vaccinated as well as a recent (within 72 hours) negative Covid-19 test result. If you have tested positive for Covid-19 within 90 days of arrival, or full vaccination poses a challenge/issue for you, please reach out to island medical staff at FAS@starisland.org. **Room rates are $100 per adult and $50 per child (this includes tips, breakfast, and taxes) **Not all rooms have electrical outlets. If you need one in your room be sure to request at time of booking.

Travel Note

Ferry Information

We are chartering a private ferry to get guests to and from the island. The ferry we choose is the Granite State Ferry out of Rye, NH. We recommend arriving 30 minutes before the boat leaves to give yourself enough time for parking and checking in. Once you arrive at the Rye port, tell the parking attendant that you are there for the Grillone wedding and parking and ferry fees will be on us! We have scheduled 3 boats. One leaving Rye at 2pm, a returning boat at 9pm, and a Sunday morning at 10:30 am. *If these boat times do not work for you then check the websites for the boat companies: Isles of Shoals Steamship Company (“M/V Thomas Laighton”) and Island Cruises (“Uncle Oscar”) offer other ferry times. ***Please note if you use the Isle of Shoals Steamship Company you will be leaving out of Portsmouth NH, and our private ferry is scheduled to return to Rye,NH.
