Question

Do I need to get any vaccines before traveling to Costa Rica?

Answer

Yes! The CDC recommends that travelers to Costa Rica get the Hepatitis A and Typhoid vaccines before traveling to the country. Check out the CDC website for great info on staying healthy during your vacation. ****The typhoid vaccine is a series of 2 vaccines that need to be administered 6 months apart, so you’ll need to get the first shot in March!!!*** https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/traveler/none/costa-rica *Many pharmacies provide travel consultations and immunizations. Check out their websites for more info. Walgreens is one such pharmacy. Their website is: https://www.walgreens.com/topic/immunization-services/travel-health.jsp

Question

When do I need to pay for my room?

Answer

Thanks for asking! We request that you pay a deposit of $100 per person by July 1st, 2019 and make your final payment by August, 15, 2019.

Question

How do I pay for my room?

Answer

You have a couple options: 1. PayPal - send money to Briony using either briony33@gmail.com or 630-267-6667 to look up her account. 2. Send a check to us at: Briony Ball 3500 Mill Pl S Renton, WA 98055 Please let us know if you would like to pay by a different method.

Question

What will the weather be during that time?

Answer

It’s rainy season, so you’ll want to be prepared for some precipitation. It will also generally be in the 80s (Fahrenheit) - low 30’s (Centigrade) - during the day with high humidity. Fewer clothes to pack! Seriously though, our wedding planner says not to bother wasting space packing a sweater as the night lows are in the mid- to high-70’s and the humidity is high.

Question

When are Briony and Brian arriving?

Answer

We are arriving in San Jose on Saturday, September 28 and will stay the night at the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen in Heredia. They have an airport shuttle and their rooms start at $147 per night. We will be heading out the next morning to Manuel Antonio and the villas.

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We are requesting dressy beach wear, meaning something that you are comfortable getting a little sandy but that also looks somewhat dressed up. Since we consider you all to be standing up in our wedding, perhaps you would consider wearing something navy blue, coral, or (rose) gold to match our color scheme? This is not required but would look cool in photos!
